This party playlist curated by LoveJuice is the perfect way to hold on to summer.
Don’t wait around for the weather to change, summer is still here.
Okay, so the skies might have let us down a little this year, but this playlist will help you hold on to the season of dancing and alfresco hangouts. Party aficionados LoveJuice have created a playlist in collaboration with Nordic Spirit curated by the resident DJs George Mensah and Sammy Porter from the global house record label.
Spanning a whopping 45 songs, this playlist – known as Nordic Spirit presents Sound Waves – takes you through legends of the house music scene to fresh new names and some of the top hits from LoveJuice’s roster. Maybe you’re fed up with listening to the same playlists, or you’re looking to expand your musical knowledge; either way, it’s sure to get you grooving. These are some of our favourite tracks…
Sammy Porter, Kideko: Al Chica
Raw basslines come peppered with smooth Spanish vocals on this collab from the LoveJuice signees. Teased on dance floors all of last summer, ‘Al Chica’ is giving you proper beach party vibes, just crack out the sunnies and dance around your living room. It’ll do for now.
Eats Everything: Get Up
One of the freshest tunes from house heavyweight Eats Everything, ‘Get Up’ is an infectious bop. Utilising Ralphi Rosario’s passionate lines from the song ‘Take Me Up’ (this time performed by Donna Blakely) it makes a great addition to any kind of house party with its old-school feel.
George Mensah: Share My Love
Your night is made that much better with George Mensah’s ‘Share My Love’. There’s a steady incline to a groove-driven chorus which utilises a wide breadth of classic house music elements. We challenge you not to dance to it as you’re getting dressed up. It’s impossible.
Hannah Wants: Cure My Desire
Hannah Wants is one of the biggest names in the house music scene, with good reason. This massive hit came out last year and hasn’t lost momentum since. ‘Cure My Desire’ is sure to make travelling around the city that much better, as Clementine Douglas’ soft vocals give you dance floor vibes.
Dusky: Endless Sky
The name ‘Endless Sky’ immediately conjures images of long, hazy nights where the sun never goes down. On this track, Dusky mix deep house and garage influences, with a Brandy sample thrown in for good measure, to create a nostalgic yet modern-feeling track that’ll keep you dreaming of summer well after it's been and gone.
