Can I take my car on the ferry?

This is a foot-passenger ferry only. If you wish to drive to the ferry port, there is parking at Triangle Car Park where you can leave your car before boarding the ferry (charges apply at your own expense).

What is the address of the port?

Town Quay Marina, Town Quay SO14 2AQ. Follow the signs, past the car park to the courtyard where our private queuing area will be.

What time do I need to be at Town Quay for the outbound crossing?

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your ferry departure time.

How long does the crossing take?

1 hour 15 mins (approx.) Departing from Southampton (Town Quay Marina) to West Cowes (Thetis Wharf).

How do I get to Town Quay Marina from Southampton train station?

There are buses operated by Unilink and First from Southampton Central Station to Town Quay. They operate very frequently and cost £2- £3 pp. Alternatively there is a ‘QuayConnect’ service departing from Southampton train station to the Marina.

How much luggage can I take on-board?

There isn’t a limit on how much luggage you can take on the ferry, however please bear in mind that there are limits on the bus shuttle. If large items such as trolleys cannot fit onto the bus shuttle, you may have to organise your own transport from Thetis Wharf to the festival site (that would be your expense).

What happens if I miss my sailing?

We will endeavor to get you on the next available sailing that has space on that day (although not guaranteed), there will be three that operate daily. You will need to ensure plenty of time to arrive before the last departure. We will not make any overnight arrangements (that would be your expense).

Are there any additional ferry times apart from the ones stated?

No, our ferry sailings on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th June are at 10am, 1pm and 4pm. For the return journey on Monday 19th June, they are at 9am, 12pm and 3pm.

Do I need to bring any confirmation or tickets with me?

No, as long as you and all persons in your group have registered, our staff will be able to check you in when you arrive at the terminal. However, please bring ID with you to confirm that you are 18+.

Where is the shuttle drop-off and pick-up point?
